A HIGH-PERFORMANCE 45 KM/H FOLDING S-PEDELEC

The MOBILEMASTER OFFROAD SPEED combines the compact dimensions of a folding bike with the performance of a premium S-pedelec.

Developed by GermanXia, it features a Bosch Performance Line Speed drive system with pedal assistance up to 45 km/h and TÜV Rheinland certification for the German market.

The vehicle undergoes an extensive TÜV Rheinland testing process in accordance with the relevant UNECE regulations, § 21 StVZO and § 4 FZV. This includes the UNECE R78 braking test as well as additional safety-related tests.

Equipped with hydraulic Magura disc brakes, an integrated licence plate holder and an approved rear-view mirror, the OFFROAD SPEED is engineered specifically for the requirements of the 45 km/h S-pedelec class.

For commuters, the combination of speed and compact dimensions offers a practical alternative to the car. Longer distances can be covered efficiently, while the folding mechanism allows the bike to be folded in less than 15 seconds for transport in a car, motorhome or boat, or for compact storage at the office.

BOSCH PERFORMANCE LINE SPEED – 85 NM

At the heart of the MOBILEMASTER OFFROAD SPEED is the Bosch Performance Line Speed mid-drive motor.

With up to 85 Nm of torque, the drive provides powerful and controlled assistance up to 45 km/h.

The Bosch Smart System connects the motor, battery, display and control unit into one intelligent ecosystem.

ROHLOFF E-14 2.0 SMART SYSTEM – ELECTRONIC 14-SPEED HUB

The Bosch drive is combined with the electronic Rohloff E-14 2.0 Smart System Speedhub.

The Rohloff hub offers a gear range of 526%, providing an exceptionally wide range for steep climbs, high-speed riding and everyday commuting.

Gear changes take approximately 180 milliseconds.

When a shift command is given, Bosch eShift automatically reduces motor load for a short moment, helping to provide smooth gear changes and reduce drivetrain stress.

Instead of a conventional bicycle chain, the MOBILEMASTER OFFROAD SPEED uses a Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt designed for demanding and high-speed applications.

OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY AND RIDING COMFORT

The OFFROAD SPEED has been developed not only for paved roads but also for demanding everyday use on gravel tracks and forest roads.

Wide Schwalbe Pick-Up 20 × 2.15" tyres provide high grip and puncture protection. They are ECE R75 certified and approved for speeds of up to 50 km/h.

A suspension fork at the front and an SR Suntour parallelogram suspension seatpost help absorb bumps and vibrations.

Combined with the compact 20-inch wheels, this creates an agile yet comfortable riding experience.

BOSCH SMART SYSTEM WITH KIOX 300

The Bosch Kiox 300 colour display provides important riding information directly in the rider's field of view.

Together with the LED Remote and Bosch eBike Flow app, the system offers a connected digital riding experience.

The Bosch Smart System supports over-the-air updates, allowing compatible system functions to be updated without replacing hardware.

A Bosch ConnectModule can also be retrofitted for additional connectivity and security functions.

COMPACT FOLDING DESIGN

Despite its high-performance drive system, the MOBILEMASTER OFFROAD SPEED retains the practical benefits of a folding bike.

The frame and handlebar can be folded to significantly reduce the bike's dimensions for transport or storage.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need a driving licence for the OFFROAD SPEED?

For use on public roads in Germany: yes.

The MOBILEMASTER OFFROAD SPEED is legally classified in Germany as an S-pedelec / light motor vehicle. At least an AM driving licence or another driving licence that includes category AM, such as a German category B licence, is required.

An insurance licence plate and an appropriate helmet are also required.

GermanXia can arrange the required German individual operating permit (Einzelbetriebserlaubnis) for an additional €499.

Important for international customers: Registration, insurance, helmet and driving-licence requirements vary by country. Please check the regulations applicable in your country before ordering or using the vehicle on public roads.

What is the difference between the OFFROAD SPEED and the MOBILEMASTER CX models?

The main difference is speed classification.

The MOBILEMASTER CX models provide motor assistance up to 25 km/h, whereas the OFFROAD SPEED provides pedal assistance up to 45 km/h.

It also uses the Bosch Performance Line Speed motor, which is specifically designed for higher-speed applications.

Because the OFFROAD SPEED is an S-pedelec, different legal requirements apply compared with conventional 25 km/h pedelecs.

How long does the Gates CDX belt last?

According to Gates specifications referenced for the CDX system, the belt is designed for very high mileage.

It requires no chain oil and very little routine maintenance. Regular inspection of the complete belt-drive system is nevertheless recommended.

What is the difference between an e-bike, pedelec and S-pedelec?

A conventional pedelec provides motor assistance up to 25 km/h.

An S-pedelec provides motor assistance at higher speeds, typically up to 45 km/h, and is therefore subject to different legal requirements.

The exact legal classification and requirements depend on the country in which the vehicle is used.
